Mission Statement

We are a co-educational boarding school offering secondary school and short- and long-term grammar school programmes. Students live on campus during the week and may also stay at weekends. Our secondary school boarders attend the Integrative Orientation School (IOS) run by the Municipality of Engelberg, which prepares students for apprenticeships, vocational education or the four-year Gymnasium. Our Gymnasium programme meets the standards of both the Swiss Matura and the International Baccalaureate, leading to the bilingual Swiss Matura certificate and the IB Diploma. Rooted in the Benedictine tradition, we place great value on community life, personal development and service to others. Small class sizes allow for individual support and guidance. Admission is based on academic records and a personal interview. We look forward to hearing from you.
